Our take
At just $59.99, the MSI PRO MP242L is hard to beat for a basic office monitor. The 100Hz refresh rate is a nice upgrade over 60Hz for everyday use. Text is sharp, and the colors are acceptable for spreadsheets and word processing. The thin bezels give it a modern look. Downsides: brightness is only 250 cd/m2, so it's not great in bright offices. The tilt-only stand and lack of VESA means limited mounting options. No USB ports either. Still, for the price, it gets the job done.
